Before First Use: Wash the egg tray, transparent lid, and measuring cup with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe the heating base with a damp cloth.
Measure Water: Use the included measuring cup to add the correct amount of water to the heating base. The amount depends on your desired doneness:
Soft-boiled eggs: Less water
Tender (medium-boiled) eggs: Moderate water
Fully cooked (hard-boiled) eggs: Maximum water
Prepare Eggs: If you want to prevent eggs from cracking, gently pierce the wider end of each egg with the pin on the bottom of the measuring cup (this releases pressure).
Load the Eggs: Place the eggs in the egg tray, ensuring they are seated in the indentations. Place the tray onto the heating base.
Cover: Place the transparent lid securely on top.
Plug In: Connect the cooker to a standard electrical outlet.
Set the Timer: Turn the control knob to the desired setting (soft/medium/hard-boiled) based on your preference. The cooker will start heating automatically.
Wait for Completion: The cooker will steam the eggs. When the water boils dry, the cooker will automatically shut off (or the timer will ring, depending on the model).
Remove Eggs: Unplug the cooker. Carefully remove the lid (watch out for escaping steam). Use tongs to take out the eggs and place them in cold water to stop the cooking process (optional, for easier peeling).
Heat & Steam Safety
The cooker and its contents become extremely hot during use. Always use oven mitts or tongs to handle the lid, tray, or eggs.
Keep your face and hands away from the cooker when opening the lid, as hot steam can cause burns.
Do not touch the heating base or metal parts immediately after cooking.
Usage Safety
Do not overfill the heating base with water. Excess water may boil over and cause damage.
Do not operate the cooker without water in the base. This can burn out the heating element.
Do not use the cooker for anything other than cooking eggs or small foods (if applicable).
Do not place the cooker on unstable surfaces or near the edge of counters.
General Safety
Unplug the cooker when not in use, before cleaning, or if a malfunction occurs.
Do not immerse the heating base in water or other liquids. The base contains electrical components and must only be wiped with a damp cloth.
Do not use the cooker if the power cord is damaged or the unit has been dropped or damaged.
After Each Use:
Unplug the cooker and let it cool completely (at least 15 minutes).
Empty any remaining water from the heating base.
Wash the egg tray, lid, and measuring cup with warm, soapy water. These parts are usually top-rack dishwasher safe (check your model's specifications).
Wipe the heating base with a damp cloth to remove mineral deposits or food residue. For stubborn buildup, use a mild vinegar solution to clean.
Regular Maintenance:
Periodically descale the heating base to remove mineral deposits from hard water. Fill the base with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar, let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Store the cooker in a cool, dry place when not in use. Keep the lid slightly open to prevent odors.
