I. Operating Instructions

1. Pre-Use Preparation & Installation Check

  1. This is a built-in gas cooktop, install it into a customized kitchen countertop strictly following installation dimensions. Keep a minimum 15cm clearance between the hob and side walls, and 60cm vertical space between the hob and range hood.

  2. Connect the gas pipe to the gas inlet of the cooktop with certified gas hose and pressure regulator; tighten all joints securely.

  3. Gas leakage test: Brush diluted soapy water on all connecting pipes and joints. If bubbles form, close the main gas valve immediately and re-seal the fittings. Never use open flame to check gas leaks.

  4. Confirm the cooktop matches your gas type (Natural Gas / LPG). Do not use mismatched gas without professional nozzle replacement.

  5. Place cast iron pan supports firmly on each burner, align the enamel burner caps and injector heads correctly before ignition.

2. Ignition & Cooking Operation

  1. Open the main gas valve of your gas supply.

  2. Select the corresponding control knob for the burner you want to use: Press the knob fully down, then rotate counterclockwise to the maximum flame position and hold for 3–5 seconds. The built-in pulse igniter will spark and light the burner.

  3. Keep holding the knob for another 3–10 seconds after ignition to activate the flame failure thermocouple. Release the knob slowly once the flame stays stable.

  4. Adjust the knob clockwise/counterclockwise to switch between high flame, medium flame and low simmer flame according to cooking demands:

    • Large left/right burners: High power for stir-frying, boiling, deep-frying;

    • Middle small burner: Low power for simmering, heating milk, slow cooking sauces.

  5. Place cookware flat on the cast iron pan support to ensure the pot bottom fully covers the burner for efficient heating.

  6. Shutdown Steps: Rotate the control knob fully clockwise to the OFF position to cut off gas supply to the burner. Close the main gas valve when cooking is finished.

3. Post-Cooking Steps

  1. Turn off all burner knobs and the main gas supply valve.

  2. Wait for the burners, pan supports and panel to cool completely before cleaning.

  3. Wipe off spilled food residue on the surface timely to avoid permanent stains.

II. Safety Precautions

Gas & Fire Safety

  1. If you smell gas leakage at any time: Shut off the main gas valve immediately, open all doors and windows for ventilation, do not touch any electrical switches (lights, range hood, sockets), and contact professional gas maintenance staff.

  2. Do not place flammable items (towels, plastic bottles, paper, oil cans) on or beside the cooktop. Keep a safe distance from curtains and wooden cabinetry.

  3. Do not spray aerosol sprays, paint, insecticide near the burning hob, as flammable mist may cause flash fire.

  4. Never leave the cooktop unattended while burning; especially when frying food with oil to prevent oil overflow and fire hazards. Keep children and pets away from the hot surface.

Operation Safety

  1. Do not use deformed, thin-bottomed or unstable cookware; only use flat-bottom pots and pans matching the burner size.

  2. Do not block the air intake vents around the burners. Blocked air supply will lead to incomplete combustion, yellow flame and carbon monoxide emission.

  3. If the flame is accidentally blown out by wind, the flame failure protection device will automatically cut gas supply. Turn off the knob, wait 5 minutes to discharge residual gas before re-igniting.

  4. Do not pour water directly onto the hot glass panel while cooking; sudden temperature change may crack the tempered glass surface.

  5. Do not lean heavy objects on the control knobs or press hard on the glass panel to avoid breakage.

Electrical & Environmental Safety

  1. The pulse ignition system uses AC power or battery. Do not touch the ignition electrode with wet hands to avoid electric shock.

  2. Do not install the cooktop outdoors or in damp environments (bathrooms, open balconies exposed to rain). Moisture will corrode internal gas valves and ignition components.

  3. This cooktop is for indoor cooking only; do not use it for heating rooms or drying clothes.

III. Maintenance & Repair Guidelines

Daily Regular Cleaning (Cool the hob completely first)

  1. Wipe the tempered glass panel with a soft damp cloth and mild neutral detergent. For stubborn oil stains, use a special glass cooktop cleaner; do not use abrasive steel wool or corrosive bleach.

  2. Remove pan supports, burner caps and injector heads, wash them with warm soapy water to clear oil and food residue, then dry fully before reinstallation. Clogged burner holes cause uneven flame and gas waste.

  3. Clean the ignition electrode and thermocouple with a dry soft brush to remove grease buildup; dirty electrodes will cause ignition failure.

  4. Wipe the control knobs with a damp cloth, prevent liquid from seeping into the knob base to damage internal valves.
