Ⅰ. Operation Instructions

1. Battery Installation

Open the battery compartment on the bottom/back of the trash can; install 4×AA alkaline batteries (not included in most configurations) following positive/negative polarity marks inside the slot, then close the compartment cover tightly.

2. Power On & Sensor Function

Toggle the power switch to ON; the indicator light flashes briefly to confirm standby status.
Auto-sensing opening: Place your hand or waste within 10–15cm above the infrared sensor window on the lid, the cover automatically pops open; the lid will auto-close after 5–6 seconds of no object detection.
Permanent open mode: Long-press the sensor button for 3 seconds, the lid stays open continuously (for large-quantity garbage disposal); short-press the button again to revert to auto-close sensing mode.

3. Garbage Bag Setup

Fit the trash bag inside the inner bucket, tuck excess bag edges into the gap between inner bucket and outer shell to hide surplus plastic neatly, then close the top lid.

Ⅱ. Important Precautions

Power Safety: Do not mix old and new batteries, or alkaline & rechargeable batteries simultaneously; remove batteries if the can will not be used for over 30 days to avoid liquid leakage damage.
Waterproof Limit: The body is splash-proof for bathroom/kitchen use; NEVER immerse the whole can or the sensor/lid component into water. Wipe spills on the sensor window with a dry soft cloth only.
Usage Environment: Keep the sensor window away from direct strong sunlight, high-temperature steam or corrosive chemicals, which may interfere with infrared induction failure.
Prohibited Waste: Do not throw glowing embers, hot boiling food scraps or sharp piercing items directly into the can to avoid melting liner or scratching inner container.
Placement: Set the can on flat stable ground; avoid squeezing the lid by heavy furniture to prevent hinge deformation.

Ⅲ. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

A. Daily Maintenance

Clean outer/inner bucket with mild detergent and damp cloth; detach inner bucket fully for deep cleaning, make sure it is completely dry before reinstallation.
Regularly wipe dust, stains off the black infrared sensor window to guarantee sensitive induction.
For rechargeable models: Charge the device when indicator flashes red; avoid overcharging more than 12 hours at a time.
